(2y, b Nov 1898, OR) and Abraham (1y, b Feb 1899, OR); also in family was William's mother Malana Vanderpool (79y, b Apr 1821, AR, widowed, mother of 10 children, 7 living at time of census)
DISCREPENCY - The birth years of the 3 oldest children in the 1900 census seem to be a year too late.

Oregon), maiden name of mother Alice Black (b. Oregon); bur English cem; informant V.C. Staats, MD of Airlie, Oregon.
OBITUARY: 
Lewisville – Edmon Earl Wood was born in Polk County, Oregon, August 14, 1896, and died at his father’s home in Airlie, November 7, 1910, aged 14 years, 2 months, and 23 days. He left a father, mother, one sister, and two brothers to mourn his departure. He was laid to rest in English cemetery near Airlie. 
He was of an even temperament and was loved by all. Rev. E. E. McVicker conducted the funeral servioce. His illness was of only one week’s duration, but his constitution was not such as to overcome the disease. The family has the sympathy of the entire community.
