OBITUARY:
Mrs Vere Staats, who taught domestic science in Dallas high school about 27 years ago, died Friday at her home in Oceanlake. Funeral services were held there Monday.
Lyle M. Yexley, whose home was in Oregon City, was married to M.r Staats June 30, 1922. They resided here for several years and he was employed as a druggist in the Dallas Pharmacy. They later moved to Newberg for a few years and then to Oceanlake where he purchased a drug store which he has continued to operate. She is survived by her husband, three sons, Vere L., Lloyd E. and Donald R. Staats. A brother, Forrest Yexley, resides at Astoria and formerly operated the meat market in Long’s grocery.
