1910 OR CENSUS - Oscar C. Calkins, age 17, b. Oregon, is enumerated with Claude S., age 46, occupation farmer, b. New York, and his wife of 21 years, Anna B., mother of 4 children, b. New York, along with Claude C., age 19, b. Nebraska, Nelta G., age 14, b. Oregon, and Mabel A., age 6, b. Oregon.
NOTE - this family appears in 1920 census of Salt Creek precinct, Polk Co, Oregon; the parents later returned to Yamhill County and are buried in the Friends cemetery at Newberg. There is also a marker for Oscar Calkins in the Friends cemetery, and his name does not appear on the list of graves moved from the old Smith cemetery to the new location in September 1942. This suggests that Oscar was moved to Newberg sometime prior to 1942.
