OBITUARY: 
MRS EMMA HAGGARD FOUND DEAD AT HER HOME THURSDAY
Mrs. Emma Haggard was found dead in her home in Independence Thursday morning by Mrs. Glen Smith and Mrs. E.A. Alger. It is thought that she had been dead for four or five days. 
Mrs. Smith and Mrs. Alger, neighbors, had not seen Mrs. Haggard for a few days and thinking something wrong broke into her house. 
Services will be held from the Smith-Baun chapel at 2 pm Saturday. Rev V.A. Ballantyne will officiate and interment will be in the Smith cemetery south of Monmouth.
