OBITUARY: 
Mrs. William Grant, aged 87 years, passed away last Thursday in Portland. She had resided for a number of years in the Lewisville community wsith a son Laurence Grant. 
Mrs. Grant was born September 9, 1846, in McDowell county, N. C. She married Mr. Grant Octrober 15, 1868. They came to Oregon in 1894. He passed away about 20 years ago. She was a member of the South Methodist church. 
Mrs. Grant is survived by three children: Maude Billing, Portland; Minnie Clark, Salem, and Laurence Grant, Lewisville.
Funeral services were held Saturday at the Henkle & Thomas chapel with Rev. Oliver of Lewisville officiating. Burial was in the Smith cemetery.
