OBITUARY: 

Velna Mildred Hoover, 69, of Dallas, died July 5 at her home. She was born Nov 29, 1902 in Monmouth, the daughter of Eugene C. and Rosella Dorton Osborn. On Sept 30, 1937 she married Ralph Hoover in Salem. Hoover preceded his wife in death Oct 1, 1960. Mrs Hoover lived in the Lewisville area, near Monmouth and Bellfountain, prior to moving to Dallas in 1963. She was a member of the Evangelical church. Survivors include one brother, Wesley Osborn of Halsey and two sisters, Lois Smith and Mattie George, both of Dallas. Funeral services were at 2 pm July 8 in the Bollman Funeral home with the Rev F. Gene Elliott officiating. Interment was in Fir Crest [Smith] cemetery, Monmouth.
