OBITUARY: 
Military graveside services were conducted Thursday afternoon by Monmouth Post No 65, American Legion, for Bert Wilson, World War I veteran who died suddenly at the Tillamook air base. Through efforts of Major Virgil S. Jackson, chaplain, the army furnished a firing squad and bugler from Camp Adair. Major Jackson led the services. Wilson is survived by a son and daughter in Corvallis. Interment was in Fir Crest [Smith] cemetery. Monmouth Herald, Thursday, April 29, 1943, 1:2
