OBITUARY: 
Augustus (Gus) Lindeman, 83, died in the Dallas hospital Tuesday. Funeral services will be held at the Henkle and Bollman chapel Saturday at 1:30 pm. Burial will be in the Smith cemetery at Monmouth. Mr Lindeman was born in Elkhart, Ind, on November 30, 1863 and came to Oregon in 1870 with his parents, J.A. and Caroline Lindeman. They lived at Airlie for a few months, then bought a farm at Lewisville where he resided during the rest of his life with the exception of four years at Astoria. He returned to Dallas about five months ago. He was married to Myrta Jane Burns of Lewisville on October 17, 1894. Mrs Lindeman preceded him in death by 11 years. Mr Lindeman was a member of the Evangelical church at Lewisville for many years. Survivors include one son, Laird N. of Astoria, two grandchildren and two great grandchildren, all of whom reside in Astoria. His three brothers and one sister all preceded him in death.
